Lotte Seattle: Luxury in the City

If you recall from a previous post, I was invited to try out a new fine dine restaurant under the name Charlotte located in the Lotte Seattle hotel. This is the first location on the west coast! They opened back in September 2020 and even with a 2nd lock down back in November/December 2020, this hotel is still thriving.

I have had the pleasure of staying here on 2 occasions.

Having the option to valet your car is so nice, especially because there is very limited parking in downtown. So I would recommend utilizing their valet service or taking a Lyft. Most people are used to hotels with their check in desk right when you walk through the door, but this is not the case at Lotte. Once you’ve provided your keys to valet and get your temperature checked, you’re walked to the elevator and are taken to the 16 floor, which is the same floor as the restaurant/lounge. Once you have arrived, you’re greeted by the front desk team. They are fantastic and so sweet. While checking in, you’re offered a glass of bubbly or water and its such a great way to kick off your stay! The front desk may offer to walk you to your room or you can go on your own.

My favorite room has to be the Premier Suite, Bay view. This room is absolutely perfect for a long weekend stay. Spacious enough for 2 but still feels very cozy. The floor to ceiling windows offer such great natural light during the day and a nice view the city during the night. What is also very unique about these rooms are the abundance of mirrors. It takes a bit of getting used to but it does make the room feel quite large!

One of my favorite things about this hotel is the personalization. When you walk into your room, you’re welcomed with an in room cocktail kit, or if you are celebrating a special occasion, you may received a bottle of bubbles, red, or white wine, followed by a note addressed to you. I don’t know about you, but when I get notes with my name on them, it makes me feel good. And the notes are handwritten! Those little touches make me happy and makes me realize that they are taking the time to get to know their guests and making them feel at home.

The premier suite gives you a separate living area and bedroom. I love this so much! I’m an early riser so if I wake up early before everyone else, I just walk into the living room, make coffee, and listen to music through the wireless Bose system speakers that is in the room! You can turn it on at a decent level without the sound traveling to the bedroom. The bedroom itself has a great view too. The beds are comfy and I could sleep in it all weekend.

After getting settled, I always like to get a little food in my belly so in room service is always such a treat. If you read my last post about Charlotte Restaurant or if you have dined there yourself, you will know the food is fantastic! You really can’t go wrong with anything off the menu. The in room menu is a tad different then the regular menu but overall you can still get similar things.

Staying in a hotel during Covid is a little different but I always felt safe and clean. When room service came, the always were gloved up and had their mask on and made sure to give us enough space while setting up our meal. They even provide you your own little PPE kit on the desk which includes, gloves, a mask, wipes and a button pusher. What’s also neat is they do not rent out their rooms for at least 24 hours once it is no longer occupied and cleaned. They have a sealed sticker on the door indicating you are the first guest to stay in the room since it has been deeply sanitized.

The premier suite has a very very nice soaking tub! If you plan on staying in this room, I highly recommend packing your bath salts and bath bombs because you will want to take advantage of this tub! The bathroom is marbled in white and is breath taking. The door is an archway and just gives you the luxurious feeling of being somewhere overseas. If you’re not much of a tub person, they have a great rainfall shower that is equally awesome!

Whether you’re are needing a getaway for a weekend or celebrating your loved one, I recommend you going to Lotte Seattle. If you sign up to be a member (which is completely free) you can accumulate points at all Lotte Hotel establishments! You will not be disappointed. While checking in, and during your stay, you will be taken care of, I promise you that. The Lotte team, from the front desk to restaurant staff, everyone there is wanting to make sure you are comfortable during your stay and all your needs are met. I assure you this won’t be the last time I’ll be here!

Looking forward to more staycations here at Lotte Seattle, a gem in the heart of the city.
